I don't know if I'm doing it right. Generally I breath in away from the barrel and then in one motion make a seal with my mouth and blow as forcefully as possible. It works, but I don't know if that is the best way. The other ways I can think of are sealing with your tongue and then building up force behind it and then releasing. Any ideas?

40 Cal. - Build air pressure with cheeks puffed out. Tongue between lips with a seal against mouth piece. Pull tongue back into mouth to get a sudden and explosive release of built up air pressure.

62 cal. - The same but involving the diaphragm more by employing a sort of cough with the above technique.

To much effort with a 40 cal. seems to move the blowgun and wrecks the shot placement because the torso tends to move a little with the back pressure.

Just my opinion of my experience.
