I recently took a dog toy tennis ball and put an eye ring onto it so it can be used as a hanging target. I am currently using my slingshot catch box as a back stop with layers of cardboard in front of my other material. I'm looking for a good way to attach something so I can attach the ball as a hanging target.

Drill a hole through each side of the ball . Fish a paracord  thru the ball using a piece of wire  and tie a knot in the end. For a cleaner look you can make the bottom hole bigger and pull the knotted cord thru to stop at the top hole .

Found a decent way to hang the ball. It's not perfect, but it works.

What I've found out with shooting at a tennis ball: unless I'm using the mini broadhead darts, I need to hit the ball more center mass or the dart pushes the ball aside and hits the backstop.

Try small game targets and a backstop such as a dartboard. It can be set anywhere and provides realistic feedback in the form of shot placement.
