This is why I'm sticking to blowguns. I just bought a new bow and it freaking broke. I spent $1500 on a Prime One STX 36 and the strings popped on it. Its crazy how much fun you can have with a blowgun that you build yourself and you would think that a more expensive toy would be that much more fun. It's not. and i Just had to spend another $79 on Prime One STX 36 bowstrings that weren't cheap either! Anyone else ever get an expensive toy just to realize that blowguns are better.

So the strings broke, but not the bow itself?

Blowguns are certainly a cheap hobby. That is for sure. With most of the newer compounds you HAVE to use a release. If you draw with your fingers and tweak the string at all .. it will pop off the cams. One of the reasons I got out of compound archery is that things are way too over the top these days. They are great for hunting but I like target shooting. And for that I will stick to slingshots, blowguns, and recurves.
